Rachael Nicholson
Rachael hails from South Wales but thinks she's from Manchester (ask her to say "stuff"). She turned 30 in 2007 and started unravelling. She is not slow but unlikely to achieve any world records in sprint races and she is not daft but occasionally is concerned that she has forgotten how to spell genius!
Rachael has performed with various companies as an actor, stage manager, DSM and musical theatre singing sensation! She was a member of National Youth Theatre Wales 1995 performing in Epsom Downs. At the University of Manchester, Rachael was involved with several productions including Top Girls, Godspell, La Cage aux Folles , Calamity Jane and was producer and actor in a new piece of writing for the Manchester Student Drama Festival in the production Abide with Me. She also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1998 in Rita, Sue & Bob too.
Since living back in her hometown Rachael has performed as a scottish chicken (her finest role) for Everyman Theatre's summer festival production of Honk! and in Cardiff Musical Theatre's production of Nine. She has been an active member of Actorsworkshop since 2004 and has undertaken corporate training work for 118118. Rachael is currently writing her first novel and her one-women as yet untitled "Standup Theatre" show.
Rachael has recently spent a week learning to swordfight against the backdrop of a real castle, battlements and all! At the end of the week she achieved a silver in her BADC level one stage combat. En guarde!
