Dominique Fester

Dominique Fester is a trained English and drama teacher. One grisly year of secondary school teaching propelled her into teaching drama at FE level, working as a drama facilitator in the Cardiff/Swansea area and working as a home tutor.

Last year she set up Real Live Theatre Company with Angharad Evans, an experimental theatre company which combines a variety of styles including live art and physical theatre. The company recently debuted with their piece Silent Voices at Chapter Arts Centre and will be bringing more to the stage soon.

Dominique has very little idea what’s going on during the performances of Slow Genius, which lends a particular kind of surreal humour to the proceedings. She likes being physical/grotesque which she feels complements the weird, and she’s happy she found such weird friends to play with.

For fun (and sometimes for money) she throws herself around on stage for Cardiff based band Sick note. Dominique also likes cats and dogs.
