Slow Genius entertained the crowds in the sun on Friday and the rain on Saturday at the Green Man Festival 2008 in Glanusk.
Sketches were based on watermelons, badgers and portaloos.

Slow Genius also won the attentions of photgrapher Saima Razzaq and are featured on the BBC Wales website!

Next Two Shows Announced!

After performing away at the Green Man festival in August Slow Genius will return to their home turf with two more shows of improvised comedy at Chapter's Media Point on:

Slow Genius Do It Again!

With another mix of spontaneous scenes based on audience suggestions improvisation group Slow Genius entertained a packed house at Chapter on the last Friday in May. With the audience testing their spelling as well as their improv skills the girls discovered a balance expert who bathes in blancmange, the truth behind Hillary and Obama and even the nutritious value of Sid Vicious' feet!

April Show at Chapter a Sellout!

Performing their usual mix of physical, verbal and musical improvisation Slow Genius, the Cardiff based improv group took another step in their quest to take Wales by storm with a hit show at Chapter Arts Centre on Friday night. With audience suggestions such as an Ice Hotel, flagellation or the funeral of the in laws hamster the evening unsurprisingly led onto an orthodontist with anger management issues, a Russian documentary on the Humber Bridge and a cat made of crayons and mash to name but a few highlights!

Slow Genius Improv Group

Cardiff’s only all-female improvisation group, Slow Genius, takes audience suggestions and turns them into unexpected situations and hilarious sketches in what is quickly becoming a popular night out in Cardiff.

"Improvisation is about thinking on your feet," says Arabella Butler, Slow Genius’ founder and trainer, "although we rehearse together everything you see on the night is completely original and based on what the audience says"

Audiences have come to appreciate Slow Genius’ blend of popular improvisation games and ways to get involved. Instead of focusing on typical "girl" issues, the group includes topical humour and often borders on the surreal.

The next round of Slow Genius is on May 30th at Chapter 8pm
